The Body Confident Collective [BCC] is a not-for-profit health promotion charity and body image research translation organisation. BCC aims to get the evidence-based body image programs and knowledge out into the real world.
After working in research and academia for over 15 years, these researchers became frustrated by the difficulty that they had in getting their work out to the people who needed it- and so the Body Confident Collective was born!
We have four sub-brands, Body Confident Professionals and Body Confident Schools, aBody Confident Families and Body Confident Gen Z, in order to enable us to reach multiple different audiences.
We offer professional development courses, body image programs, free webinars, and free content for people to apply within their personal and professional lives. Everything that we do is informed by data, research, and evidence on our mission for impact.

DR ZALI YAGER
I am an Associate Professor in the Institute for Health and Sport at VU.
I have an education background and expertise in the evaluation of body image programs in school and community settings. My particular strength is in translating research and communicating it via social media and professional development programs.
I also have three children, Jack (7), Evelyn (5), and Lucy (5). Since having children, and I struggle with the juggle of work and family every day.
DR IVANKA PRICHARD
I am a Senior Lecturer in Health & Exercise Sciences at Flinders University in Adelaide.
My research focuses on promoting positive lifestyle behaviours (i.e., healthy diet and exercise) and body image. I worked in the fitness industry as a group fitness instructor for 15 years and am passionate about understanding ways of improving body satisfaction and increasing levels of physical activity among women and children.
I also have two young boys, Hudson (11) and Carter (8).
DR LAURA HART
I am a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and
I am one of the creators of Confident Body Confident Child, a program to help parents teach their children about healthy eating and physical activity without negatively impacting on child body image.
I am passionate about the potential influence that parents can have on their children's physical and mental health.
I also have two boys, Isaac (8), and Oscar (5). Since having children, I am aware of how post-birth and breastfeeding can really wreak havoc on women’s bodies and finding the confidence (and time!) to exercise and look after yourself is a challenge.
