A program to support parents of 2-6 year olds to build positive body image and healthy eating behaviours in their kids' early years.

Confident Body Confident Child is an evidence-based resource providing parenting strategies to promote positive body image, healthy eating and physical activity in children aged 2 to 6 years.


This program aims to support and guide parents and guardians to create an environment in which their children can develop body satisfaction and healthy eating patterns that will stay with them for life.


Confident Body, Confident Child was developed by a team of researchers from the School of Psychology and Public Health at La Trobe University, Australia. The resource was developed from the latest research and evidence. Evaluations of the program found that parents completing the program had: 

- significantly more positive parenting strategies in relation to food and body image,

- greater knowledge of child body image, and

- fewer parental feeding practices associated with high child weight.

CBCC is a 2-session program for parents of 2-6 year olds. Evidence-based, and backed by science, this program covers all of your tricky questions about how to help your kids eat healthily and build their body image. We will be running this program online soon!
